New Dialogue

Call me up late at night, and you know I'll be awake. It's not like I ever really sleep anyway. But I'm here with my mouth to receiver, and I wish I could receive her, like a letter in the mail, and I know that we swore that we'd have to sleep or set sail, eventually. Say what you mean, or say what you need. I hope you know you can say anything to me. I just want to make sure you feel safe and secure. Ask me what or why or how and you know I'll do my very best, to give you everything within my capacity. Opening up new dialogues shouldn't be that hard, but it is that hard when we're all raised to feel so afraid and ashamed, to say what we really want. I want to know what scares you. I want to know what excites you. I want to know what's holding you back. I want to know what ties your tongue. We can change all of this with a little courage and positive reinforcement for all of our anxieties. Here's to the baggage we came with. And if you'll let me, I promise I'll help you carry them. Say what you need, or say what you mean. I hope you know you can say anything to me. I just want to make sure that you know it.
