I will strain my eyes for a hint of shore

I will dream a flood
I will wet my lips with a turtle's blood
I'll extend my arm in pursuit of praise
I'm a metaphor in a water phase
I will count the stars
I will plot my course
I will plough my path
I will dig my trough
