These Houses

I tried but capitally failed
The hammer hits another nail
Sanctioned by beloved brutes
And the artillery's set to derail

Every notch is an alibi
It's the tricks of idle minds
They love to turn our heads
So we awkwardly collide

How can we not enjoy this
Too soon to dismiss
It's dirty it's wrong
But I can tell it is our business

Can't build these houses in the sand
Break to understand
Every bone you have

I tried but capitally failed
Drowned before I set sail
Couldn't sit through days and hope
That answer's would unveil

I know several houses will burn
It's a lesson learned
It's not the fire we love
It's the ashes that we yearn
