The Middle Of The Night

Drowning in dark waters, gasping for air
Grasping at a life-preserver that was never there
Just a vast expanse of emptiness, there's no use for prayers
To be forever trapped inside this horrible nightmare

There's no end in sight to this hopelessness and fright
The eternal endless struggle- the never-ending fight
I wish for light, with my whole might
But the darkest hour's always in the middle of the night

A prolongated suffocation, buried alive
I cannot call for help- silent screams and muffled cried
This heavy weight upon me begins to crush my bones
I cannot breathe, I cannot move, I die in darkness all alone

A never-ending arctic landscape, infinite fields of ice and snow
Ingravescent frostbite from the icy winds which always blow
Nothing exists, no trace of life as far as I can see
Frozen solid, cold and dead, I slowly cease to be...
