And death wiped away the smile from your face

When children laugh when the evening bell sings

And cry torrents and seas drowing cities

Moves trembles immense visions

Over sunbeams in the dancing spring
The eye of the lighthouse the crest of the waves
The windows of the buildings the hair of the maids
