In This Final Hour

A scapegoat nailed to reconcile
For the sorrow of our vice
Reveal the cross that we must bare
In the darkness to gather light

Discover rewards beyond this life
For why must we suffer this painful fate
There is so much more we could learn
But all we are sure of is fear and hate

The thorns from the crown will pierce your soul
As you bathe in the wounds upon his hands
And the blood that drips from his fingertips
Will drench and stain the fate of man

The world is blackened in this final hour
May we all be forgiven for what we lose
Will we ever return to innocence?
To cleanse us of all the sins we do?

As our shells return to dust
Our souls will touch the sky
Our tears will wash away the sorrow
Together beyond eternity we will fly...fly....
