Breaching the Citadel

Apathy, my friend again
Hopelessness, the exalted comrade
Hindrances to invoke the end
Pillage the mind as they descend

The citadel stands strong
Impregnable to the weak
Spewing forth an ominous song
And nesting fortune at its peak

It towers over the masses
Dwarfing the spirits within
But subjugate fear and imagine
A barrier ever so thin

Prosperity will soon claim the throne
As anxiety retreats into the unknown
Walls that once stood so tall
Are now merely ashes of the fall
