I Will End This Road

This country of mine
Gone way out of line
It's got me scrounging
And falling far behind.

I just don't feel alright
I'm out of a job and a life
The days don't seem quite bright
I'm up all darn night.

Before me with no end in sight

Then every thing will be alright.

I don't have a car to get around
Just a little place to stay
I'm out there scrounging day by day
Wasting my life away.

It's hard to find a job and a good wife
And to have a nice life
But how can one have a nice life
With no work in sight.

I want a home to be my own
With a car to drive around
And have some little kids of mine
Playing in a back yard ground.

I need a family to settle down
And have freedom when we go to town
People will see us all dressed up
Smiling around down town.
