Restless

I need air. Jaded people tire me to death. I need to not distrust. See the world through a different lens. I am not settling for less. And that is so unsettling. Take it slow, but do it now. Two rhythms collide. I can't seem to overcome the gap. My diplomacy is of no use right now. I guess I want out of my shell. I guess I want out of my shelves. But I simply refuse to. Invisible strings hold me back. But do they, really? Breathe and reboot. Intake, outtake.

That nostalgia for something I haven't yet lived. That longing, that craving. As if the wind blowing, a certain temperature, a certain smell, were to remind me of that. "Never go off track. You know where all of this is leading you to." Deep within, I do know. My ignorance is an illusion. And down the golden path I tiptoe.
