This is a sad story about a boy
after that a young lad
today (he's) already a man
he didn't listen to the voice of those
that warned him, he remained indifferent
he did not hear what they told him
therefore today he's in a bad business

They told him that life is not a game
and there are not "kuntzim" here
they told him that he needs to be strong
because woe to the wretched

They told him that it's gonna be practical
they hinted to him to mature
he did not learn then any moral lesson
and he doesn't even have a brain to regret

Back when he was still a child
in the folk school
when he still hung on the blue skies
a slightly sad look and dreaming
already then his eye was squinting
on the reddish sand-lily

They told him to concentrate on classes
because that's the most important
they told him that from girls and dances
it will end sadly

They told him that it's gonna be practical
they hinted to him to mature

Even when he went to soccer
he did not just search for victory
and with the excitement of a calf
he gave up on calm and confidence
and until today he's with the flag
and with the wrong colour.

is not a great find
