Surface Vessel

Skaters on thin ice
soften the blow of an awaited fall
no bones broken
the final stretch is the ideal one
ready I am to break the spell and let things drift in the summerlands
the sea has burst the dykes
the moorings are broken
taking roots is beyond the strength of a shallow breather
of the surface vessel
