The lost the thoughts but kept the skin.
The breath held fast, the conscience slipped.
The voice still speaks, though different words.
Same hand to hold, same fingerprints.
Ideas range, but have no sound.
The eyes can see, but know no face.
Confused the names, lost the lists.
The scar remains, but what of the cut?
