Finally Home

It’s been a long road, between the lines
Cruise control, straight road behind
The road ahead, it bends and it climbs
If I carry on my way, I’m sure I’ll be fine

Before I knew it I was spinning out of control
Turn my head, saying ‘God where did you go’
I’m working hard, and I’m working on my own

Still ain't easy but I’m finally home

The weight of the world grew before my eyes
I ran fast, and far away, I could not leave it behind
Head hung low, I’d retreat instead of fight
Pretending like my father wasn’t by my side

All my life I’ve been handed a prize
For working hard and doing things on time
With foolish pride, I’ve been wasting my time
Tryna build myself and figure out my life
