Come gather 'round people, my story to hear
Forget the ol' bible, the truth is out here
What happened in these days of old
In the Garden of Eden, you're about to be told

At first there was nothing much at all
The Lord was feeling bored so he created great and small
The earth, the grass and trees bearing fruit
He looked down from heaven, saw that it was good

Then snake appeared from in between the leaves
He promised wisdom and of course woman was deceived
First was cursed the devil in disguise
Then woman and man were driven out from paradise

You shouldn't have listened to your wife
You've eaten from the tree of life
No longer you're allowed to stay
You're cursed and chased away
Regret this life that you have spoiled
You'll have to spend your days in toil
And by the sweat of your face, you've fallen from grace

They looked at one another and tried to hide away
They realised their nakedness in an awful way
Now man was too shy by far to multiply
The Lord felt kinda sorry for this Adam-guy

I do regret some of the things I said
I was a bit too hard on you, but I was really mad
We might as well forget the spell and shake each other's hand
I'll try to think of something nice to make amends

Sit back and wait a little while
I think we need a drink so I'll
Create some Guinness straight away
We're gonna get drunk today
Now fill the earth and spread the news
Get on the piss and reproduce
