I've seen you flying high
Chasing clouds in the sky

Such a broad horizon
Your gray wings spread wide
Over unknown regions
With changing winds they ride

Greedy eyes scan the surface
Laughing at us earthbound souls
But as you grab for too much
You can't help it, your ivory tower falls

And now you've hit the ground
Aimlessly crawling around

I know what you believed
To be (more worth than anything)
I see that you've become
Just like me (or anyone else in here)

As you stand before me
Bare feet on stony ground
Is there nothing more to lose?
Or is there something you've found?

What made you so sure that
You're someone who never fails?
How could you avoid thorns
If leaving the old, used road
For solitary, narrow ways?

Just swear you won't give up
Mind your steps but never stop
