A river's a painful reminder of
the erosion of the earth
I look at our leaders, and see a face
but not much of worth
a crusade's belief in time to call me
to a religion's fate
to hear the protestors against a war
that violates

die, die, a deadly lie, raise your flag
to show your worth

to keep us from arrogance
how is democracy worth your killing of innocents?
is the name of liberation your justification?

a domestic agenda centered on a
tax cut for the rich
in the name of stimulus
although a huge deficit
shove the pins in the doll to practice
your voodoo spell
a short sighted plan, dosen't
tickle down very well

lies, lies, only lies, from this administration
no regulation, no restoration it feeds on ignorance
how can the people support such bullshit?!

they edit the constitution to mean
what they damn well please
never thiught i'd see it happen
but no one seems to believe
in the name of security, we lose our democracy
and liberties for all
