in his sterile white attire
he mixes potent drinks
skin peeled back from fumigation
never seen the light of day
he mixes dishes to grant our wishes
think we pay?
he wires fame and shame
to keep us high for one more day
swirling through the gas
he holds the antidote
so as we choke
he can wave and gloat

he laughs without a smile
his eyes set in steel
a human being
