Heavenly Signs

There comes a time
When both of our heavenly signs
Go to sleep and turn to their fatherly moon
And you and I
In ever immersing design we begin
We turn our own eyes to poetry

But it’s not as funny as you may think
I’m choking on the wings
Of a butterfly
It’s not as funny as you may think
To rise above the words you said
I thought I could die

Oh calm me fairytale suckers
Making up endings
And pouring out laughter
We dance once again
And maybe this one is for you
If I could filter out matter
And peace in our hearts
Would impend as we flutter
We call you again
And joke about starting anew
