We live from day to day
With exposure to the actors
Who have been assigned a role
On life's stage
We've come to think we know
How the script goes
Yet no one can seem to
Get their actions right day to day

Thrust upon the stage
Of time and space
The role of life awaits
To be played

We look upon our heart
As a mirror
Yet it keeps reflecting
All the things we seem to despise
The tongue can be so kind
And endearing
Yet it keeps dispensing
All the evil things from the heart

And I see the symptoms
Are from inside
And the realization
The only chance of hope is from above
