Fall From Grace

The Silence falls down on the glory of men
No one remembers their names
Their faces got lost in the night
They lost their fame

Gone are the days when the world was in need
For someone stronger to acclaim
Guardians of destiny to save us from fear
They fell to ruin

The monuments raised in the squares everywhere
Are now forgotten for good
Who are those statues up there?
The marble is grey

The laurels have gone blown away by the wind
Their branches are covered with dust
Everything's gone, their heroic deeds
All gone to rust

People walk and don't even care
To read what writings on those walls may say
Carved in stone, those words were supposed to hail
Those Heroes who now fell from Grace

Those days are over no one seems to care
About all those men who once died
To give us the freedom to live
The freedom to forget

These supermen have begun their downfall
The same day they have reached the top
From camel to lion then a child
Now they are free
