Litany To The Blind

In the world full of selfishness and disease
the people have fallen to their knees
society will digress into a world with no spirit and no soul
crying are the people with hate in their eyes
all of them afraid to die
guilt bearing prisoners of their own apathy
cyclostomes ripped of the seas
lingering is the ghost that finds itself staring at an empty shell
no one will rise up they will all give in without a fight
out of the weakness grows a powerful man
strong enough to manipulate the masses into the palm of his hand
whittling their numbers down to a sum that he has enslaved and controlled
while making excuses but all to no uses they rot for a solution to present itself
as he makes his rise to the tower with his fist clenching power
he is made untouchable by the validity of human error
rotting while they watch themselves be stripped of all wealth
naked captives of a tyrannical death camp of living
as the darkness rolls across the land
all of the peasants are made aware that oblivion is at hand
suffering for the excuses that led to no uses
starving children kneel to the ground and pray to god
but no one listens at all
