This endless abyss of tantalizing choices
We continue to peruse with silent voices
Longing for connections to fill the void
Fostered time and time again

Isolated in plain sight
We are motivated by the selections
This vast buffet enhances this plight
An unending array of imperfections

Concessions must be made
If we aspire to succeed
Our appetite clearly will not fade
For we believe must still plant the seeds

Proximity used to dictate
But now the pool has become far too wide
The lack of choices seemed to facilitate
What we should allow fate to decide

Chosen to engage responses
From hungry souls

The reflections selected
Cast positive aspects presented
Redundant dance we must engage
Has trapped us all within this cage

The veil has been drawn tight to hide

Face to face is always a chore
Reality doesn't match the images adored
A brief embrace and awkward exchanges
In strange unknown spaces

Alas we begin once more
The haunt is set to entertain us
Our nature begs us to explore
For the human race to maintain
