Yesterday I had a dream
The world was pure and bright
But when I woke, it disappeared
The dream had told a lie
The colors that I used to see
Have vanished in the air
Even I have lost my shade
Left memories back there
Now all I see is endless dark
And ashes in the wind
What’s left of all I used to know
Are ruins caving in
Time is running faster now
The days are growing thin
The world keeps spinning restlessly
Where will it all end?
Days are shortened, the end draws near
A tear falls down, like blood it sears
I see the fear in children’s eyes
And I'm afraid of what may rise
A chosen few will find their grace
Their faith will be their light
But many more will be cast down
Into the endless night
The words of old are coming true
A prophecy once penned
And life is fading, slow but sure
Until it meets its end
The light from heaven soon will shine
Across the cloud-filled skies
And on that day the world will see
The One they all denied
Days are shortened, the end draws near
A tear falls down, like blood it sears
I see the fear in children’s eyes
And I'm afraid of what may rise
From shadows deep beyond the veil
The lost will feel the flame
Dragged like chains through rivers fire-born
To reap eternal shame
Repent before the clock runs dry
Fall down and seek His grace
For in the sacred word remains
A hope to still embrace
And shortened days may bring you back
If you turn from the sins you tracked
