Oh I'm coming back
To my beloved land
I'm coming back
I came to remember my brand
I remember the Sun rising
I remember what my father told me
Everything was surprising
What life showed me
I love the Kansas air
I love seeing the native life
The breeze that brought the flair
That's where I met my wife
I picked apples in the orchard
On those cold mornings
Life here was very hard
But that's how men are forming
I love the smell of the food
That my mother prepared
While I stacked wood
That my father traded
Life was very intense and fun
With my friends playing
Jumping, screaming and run
I loved staying
And on Sunday mornings
On my horse going loud
Watching the wood burning
I feel so proud
Time seems to have flown
And the years make me got old
Today is a new dawn
I can't back hold
Tears fall from my face
Wetting my beloved floor
I remember the races
My mother at the door
Shouting dear son
Lunch is on the table
Thank you my mom
You were so noble
Now my hair is white
I returned to my home
Letter I found a written
This is so awesome
I thank God so much
For the man I have become
I have never been in a hutch
It is so good to be back home
Feel that wind again
See the dusty old barn
But I still feel the pain
Of having lost my parents
My heart breaks with a knife
My eyes will cry
Remembering Kansas life
But I can try
