It was just another day in paradise
The Sun was blazing in the sky so wide
The flowers bloomed in colors bright
And beasts ran free on every side
Man gazed in awe at all creation
And wondered how God made it whole
With sacred love and admiration
Life beat strong in every soul
No heart had yet been torn or twisted
No rage or hatred could be found
Only love had been enlisted
And joy and peace were all around
But through the eye of evil, sharp and sly
A wicked whisper stirred the air
The serpent slithered, creeping by
Toward the woman standing there
Eat, she hissed with voice so sweet
Devour this fruit, so rich, divine
A sacred gift, a seeded treat
From Eden's boldest, brightest vine
And that's when the sky forgot the Sun
Darkness poured where light had run
Deception bloomed in garden soil
The heavens cursed, began their toil
The Devil's footprints scorched the sand
Of deserts vast and burning red
Where man was doomed to roam the land
In search of water, hope, and bread
When shadows swallowed every light
And evil rose to claim the day
Defying Heaven's holy might
And dragging man into decay
Eat, she hissed with voice so sweet
Devour this fruit, so rich, divine
A sacred gift, a seeded treat
From Eden's boldest, brightest vine
And that's when the sky forgot the Sun
Darkness poured where light had run
Deception bloomed in garden soil
The heavens cursed, began their toil
